Newbury park workout: Stough warmup leg swings+dynamics+ strides, 800, 2 min rest, 400, 1 min rest, 400, 10 min rest, repeat but with spikes, 10 min cooldown, weights Times: 2:17, 67, 70, 2:24, 67, 67 I was feeling pretty bad on the warmup, just hot and sweaty, but still got a quality workout. Its just a matter of acclimating to the heat as summer approaches. Still noticing many times that my form is tensing, but im getting better at reminding myself to relax. The first set was extremely lactic as usual, but oddly on the second set, rather than extreme lactic, i felt more like i was gasping for air.

SCE invite 2026: 11 min warmup, dynamics+ legswings + strides, mile race (4:45 Pr), 5 jog, 20 of 45/15 tempo, 5 cooldown, 4 mile jog later Good meet for me and the team. For my first outdoor mile this year, i think i paced it decently well. I wish i could see the splits on athletic.net just to know for sure. I did a better job of staying relaxed and focussed during my race, but my form isnt perfect yet. Im just happy to get another meet under my belt, and it was a fun day with the team.

Duel meet vs naperville central 2026: Warmup + strides, 4x800 (2:13), jog+ elevate+ strides, 400 (~62), jog + elevate + strides, 4x400 (60.9), cooldown Total warmup/cooldown time was 25:46 This meet, my focus was on improving my running form and i succeeded at that. I mostly kept my form when the lactic hit in all my races. Im not perfect yet, but the improvements were there today. An idea from coach's reading i think was helpful is: be an observer not a judge; observation leads to learning while judgement leads only to emotions without growth Lesson from Shannon Thomson podcast i found helful: be thankful rather than fearful for the opportunity to compete It was overall a great experience cheering on teammates and bonus is the PR. Glad i dipped my toes in the water, but this Saturday ill really be getting wet.

Good cass progression: 2 min warmup to the light, way there was 22:23, back was 18:14, short jog from light to track, 4x800 (31, 31, 31, 31), longer 13 min cooldown bc i forgot to grab my sweatshirt so had to run back, foam rolling, weights Noticed my shoulders raising at certain points out of habit but just told myself "stay relaxed" and did a better job of keeping my upper body from straining
