WSLC. Last meet of the year and I can take away that I ended the season well. I had my ups and downs, I struggled, but I can truly say I worked my ass off this season. Thank you coach Lawrence(again) thanks for putting us in shape for all our meets, and thank you everyone on the distance team for making this season fun. “You shouldn’t look at the trail you made, but how much you have left to go” - Alex Franses

West suburban conference championships. Overall I thought I did ok. We did a great job winning the frosh soph 4x8, and I did ok in the mile. I gotta say, I think I can say I’ve truly improved this track season; not just with times and placings, but also with discipline and mentality. I think I got too used to indoor season not thinking after every lap ran whether it was the 800, 400, mile, or el dos. I gotta say, I didn’t start off too great this season; I got too used to getting good placement in indoor season, so it kinda crippled me. Also, my mental approach wasn’t great at the start of the season. With that being said, I think this was truly my year so far. I got faster(a little), I took things seriously while having fun, and approached meets with good mental confidence. Thank you coach Lawrence, coach Westphal, coach kupres, and coach snee. Thank you guys for understanding when I needed a break and thank you Lawrence for talking some sense into me. Glad for our varsity guys to give @NoahLawrence a great birthday present =).(800 was 2:07 and mile was 4:50)

Right leg wasn’t feeling too good today. Went 0.5 out and back and then had to x train. Good job to everyone at under the lights. It’s crazy seeing everyone improve this season and proud to see EVERY sophomore(I think) pr. UTL magic is real

Workout day. 4x1 and 5x1k. 100s were all around 17, but struggled to find pace with the 1000m. Did at the end tho. Gas loop to finish

Jv conference. I was worried the whole time because I was tired, but then coach showed me a reading about nervousness before a race. It’s all just noises in my head, and looking back at past meets, I feel a little disappointed in myself looking at how easy it was to change it. I ignored the voices inside my head, competed with the guys in my race, then ran a pr, 4:44 mile. I’m glad that I can learn more and improve, and I still have more time. Thanks to all of you Guys for being there for me and I’m glad to start my bday with that. Thank you coach for knocking some sense into me I think it really helped

Pretty good meet. Ran and won el ocho and got 2:07, and kicked out some LT guys in the 4 by 4. I’m not super impressed by the times, but the fact that I competed and got out of my head. My anxiety and nervousness has taken over me for the past couple meets but I grew out of it today. Just in time for conference 😁
