First run back since conference. 10 min run + 10 min elliptical at obpd. Run didn't feel good, but no pain in hips 🙏. This was also my first practice since getting sick 2 weeks ago, but I feel 100% now and ready to get going.

First XC ssn down. Today's race wasn't it; I took a risk, and it didn't work. Oh well. Not the way I wanted the season to end, but most importantly, I put in immense effort that I know will pay off. I learned so much with the team and next XC season I won't be running in blindly. Truly, no matter how I run, I will always be content being a part of this team and seeing my peers get better. Hopefully I hear good news about my hip, and I can start of indoor fresh and ready to dominate!

WG prog: 42:12 (6:58, 7:10, 7:22, 7:23, 7:08, 6:11). Went out hard, but still felt like this was a huge, beneficial workout. Stayed with Nick for the first 3, he got away for the next 2, but I caught up the last mile and finished off really strong. Lactic was killing me and it was so tough physically and mentally from miles 3-5, but coach was right abt the downhills and all my doubts went away soon after. Great weather, wore my old rebels and they felt so quick and light, and body felt dec. The tempo fast workout and today's made me realize that I should be running much faster and I'm confident I will pr in a week.

Chill oak brook run w/ Nick. Wore patella bands and they helped a lot. Paired with the crisp gravel, it felt great on my legs.

Klm 20:25 (6:32, 7:11, 6:42). I don't want to ramble or make excuses about my race because the season is not over yet and I have learned a lot. Just from this race, I now know (I didn't take a big enough risk because I shied away from getting out harder and had too much left at the end and in the middle of the race. I need to FOCUS while I'm running. I was zoning out looking at the grass and slowing down unbelievably on the second mile. My watch shows I spiked my heart rate very high 7-8 min in. Better prepare for weather. I was shivering during race. Stick with some guys). Still, I am learning more every meet and getting better adjusted to racing; trying to utilize better strategies, but that race hasn't come yet and my fitness hasn't clicked all together. Yet. I'm optimistic though and most of all, very happy to see my teammates succeed, drop their times, and hopefully I can carry this momentum to conference and finish the season strong 💪!

golfview 4x8 (3:02, 21, 15, 15) felt good, other than my hip hurting horribly, and couldn't do 6. Hips becoming a problem, idk why because I have been icing and strengthening my legs. My guess is overstriding and not warming up properly 🤷♂️
