Felt like I had to do some pre meet reflection. I feel mentally really scared going into these final 3 meets of indoors. I’m clearly in shape, but in how good of shape? Most races have a level of ambiguity to them, but it’s never before felt like this much on the line. I see what coach was talking about with you can’t let the egg crack. Tmrw I’m gonna take it one lap at a time. I’m gonna try and not get flustered, and if I can stay somewhat close to Nick, I’ll be in a good spot to compete and to get a new pr. Oh and I gotta try and live up to Westphals prediction of sub 5 indoors lol

INSANELY GOOD WORKOUT!!!! 4x(600m and then 300m) @NicholasPencyla and I were hustling it the entire time, and shoutout to him for dropping me, I was only getting faster and he still extended the gap. Too lazy to write out the splits, but they’re in the GPS info. I’ve been dealing with some shin pain since yesterday and so went to trainers to figure out what’s going on. Turns out its just something i gotta be careful on with my Tibia, and its mostly just checking in with them before running, i won’t be cross-training regulalrly, coach, probobly just tmrw.

Running with more guys on these warmups and easy runs has been humbling. We get out so fast sob 😭. I’ve had my fastest two easy runs these past two days.

2 mile TT. Actually I’m ok with how it went. Running alone was hard and wind didn’t make it easier. I went out too hard, but that’s ok, I settled into a pace (not the one I wanted, but still), and closed well. Mentally the first mile was a lot easier bc I was working on catching up to and passing Eito. As my mileage increases and it all starts to click things will improve. Also very difficult to complain when I’m coming from 14:43. Can’t complain with a 2 minute 30 second pr!!!
