Great meet at St Charles. Led off the 4x800 in 1:58.9 for a pr and then came back later in the 4x400 and ran another pr of 53.5. I am really glad to see the times start to go down and I feel a lot of confidence going into future meets. For the 800 I felt pretty relaxed through the first 400, going through in 58.6. I had a big gap to make up to catch up to first place but I started to move up and was neck and neck at 700. Got out kicked though and locked up a bit but still happy to pr. I think as the season progresses I’ll be fit enough to close better. I already feel improved from Wednesday. The 400 was good. I felt pretty relaxed through out and secured a good pr. Gonna focus on sleep and recovery this week to prepare for bud mohns. Happy to win the meet on JV and varsity as well.

Solid meet. Ran 2:01.4 in the 800, 59 in the open 400, and 55 in the 4x4. Considering the wind and lack of race prep I felt like this was a solid start to outdoor. Tried to take the lead on the 800 but locked up the last 100 unfortunately.

Threshold workout. 2 mile warmup, 5x800m, 4x200m, 10 minute cooldown. 2:40 avg for the 800s, 30s avg for the 200s.

6x800 workout on the track with Elliot. Ran 2:41 each rep and had 1 minute rest.

Was not able to run yesterday due to travel so I did a longer run. Felt good.

Workout on treadmill was a continuous run of 5 minutes hard, 4 easy, 4 minutes hard, 3 easy, 3 minutes hard, 2 easy, 1 minute hard, 1 easy, 2 minutes hard, 1 easy, and 1 minute hard. The hard pace was 5:00, and the easy pace was around 8:30. 15 minute warmup and 10 minute cooldown.

Very hot and humid long run on the treadmill. Will probably try to run later in the day when it is not as hot.

Did a treadmill workout. 2 mile warm up and stretching before. Decided to do a pyrmid workout. Started at 1 minute on and then 1 minute recovery. Then went to 2, 3, 4, 4, 3, 2, 1 all with same rest. The hard pace was 5:05 and the recovery pace was 7:00. It was definitely a hard workout but It went pretty well. After did a mile cooldown. Going to double with 2-3 miles later tonight. Trying to get my milage up this week.

First run in punta on the treadmill. Decided to do a recovery run today and a workout tomorrow since I didn’t get great rest last night due to travel. I also still feel pretty sore from the progression. I will probably do a fartlek or some kind of on off workout on the treadmill tomorrow as well as a lift. Depending on how long the workout is tomorrow I might try to double to get some more milage in.
