Richard spring 2026: 🎉15:33 PR!🎉 Detweiler is easily the best course i have ever run, flat the whole way. The conditions were cool but humid, and i took advantage to run a good time. I have a lot of room for improvement though. You win or you learn but i think i did both: 1. Be ready for a quick start and dont be afraid to get out hard. I had to navigate a dense pack of runners the whole race. I should have gotten out harder. 2. Be more engaged during the kick. People always day this but I actually could have kicked better if i was more actively aware. During the kick i was scared rather than ready to attack. 3. Eat more strategically. I should have eaten my bread the night before the race instead of the morning of. Its a small thing, but my stomach was aching during the race. 4. Run with good form. I have been working on it since last track season and there is still a lot of room to grow. My form breaks down when i hurt and it needs to stop. There was one point in the race, coming out of the triangle, where everyone else went around the puddle but i went straight through, and i just put on a painful grin after that. The miller photo from it is pretty good. This was an amazing experience that i am thankful for. I got to know the team so much better and just have a great time. Im excited to return for state.

Red Devil Invite 2026: 16:16 PR! And 36th place! I had such a great time today and am so thankful i got this opportunity to compete. I took coachs advice to not get out way too hard to heart. I started out in the back of the pack and built my way up throughout the race. Shoutout to ian who told me yesterday to attack the downhills, and it definitely paid off, as they were where i passed the most people. I think i paced well and kicked decent. Today was a display of all the hard work i put in over the summer, and i am so excited to see what the rest of the season holds.
