NON. Wasn’t the result we were hoping for and we didn’t run how we wanted. But, Even though the season didn’t end how we wanted in the last race, it doesn’t take away from all the great things that happened throughout the year. If you told me during cross country or after Antioch when I ran 4:41 that I would be an all state runner and running at nationals, I definitely would not have believed you. I’m gonna miss all the seniors a lot and it’s gonna be sad to not have them next year. This race only added fuel to the fire for cross and I’m ready for redemption.

60 sec fast 3 min jog 60 sec fast with Bart. We were super cooked after the long week of work and the heat so we knew it was gonna be tough. We went a little over 400 both times so it was decent given the circumstances. Also ran on a concrete track so that was cool.

Magis. Felt pretty good going into the race and wanted to put myself in a good position. Got out in 3rd and stayed in the top 5 for most of the race. 3. My splits were perfectly even until the last lap and I felt smooth the whole way. With one lap to go I started moving and caught a couple guys to get into the top 3. Lowk did not think I was going that fast but ended up closing in 61. Copped a new pr of 4:17 for the 16 and 4:18 for the full mile.

State. Super fun weekend with the 4x8 and the whole team. On the prelim day, we just chilled all day and relaxed. Felt really good before and confident. But, as soon as you get into the tent, the nerves hit and it starts to get real. Ran a decent leg on the prelim day and had a nice pr to run 1:56. Decided to scratch the mile to focus on the 4x8 and it was def a good call. Did a lot of recovery after the first day and was feeling really good going into the final. Tubs put me in a great spot and during the race, I was just focused on staying connected and giving it everything I had in the last 250. Watching Tarasi and Bart close it out was awesome and it was an insane feeling to see all of our hard work pay off. I was also able to pr again and run 1:55 so that was sick too. Overall it was an awesome weekend and I’m ready for more to come. Gonna miss all the seniors a lot and even though this year had a lot of ups and downs, the team was always there.
