Newbury Park workout (2 sets of 800, 400, 400). Decent workout. Definitely should have hydrated more and fought better against the lactic. Very hard but happy to be done with it. 2:16, 65, 67, 2:22, 68, 69.

Saint Charles East Invite. Never felt so awful before on a warm up. My quads still felt super sore from Wednesday and I wasn’t quite sure how the race would go. Thankfully, I was able to just chill and hang on to the 4 man pack that formed. Unfortunately wasn’t able to hawk down the DGN kid but I’m happy to know I’m now in a place that I want to be in in the 2 mile. Excited for more races to come. Tempo workout with Mike after.

HC Naperville Central Duel. Overall pretty meh meet but for the first outdoor meet I’m pretty happy. Happy to start off the meet in the 4x8 with a W. For the 400 and 4x4 I just felt like I couldn’t get my legs to go any faster. Hoping to maybe feel better on the outdoor track on Saturday.

10 min wu + 6 min hard, 5 min easy, 5 hard, 4 easy, 4 hard, 3 easy, 3 hard, 2 easy, 2 hard, 1 easy, 1 hard + 7 min cd to get to 6 miles. Didn’t realize until mid way through that the pace times they give you on the treadmill is for min/km not per mile. Avg around 4:00 min/km for hard and did the easy at like 7:30 min/km.

3x4xhallway loop with Justin. 2 man 4x800 unfortunately got cancelled by rain (biggest What If?) and the treadmill was dying on me, so me and Justin improvised with a tempo workout upstairs. Weights 2 after.

4x4x4. Great workout that makes me feel very fit and happy about my fitness level. Avg around 78 first set (at 5k), 73 (at 3200), 68 (at 1600), and 68, 68, 66, 63 for final set.

JV Conference. Last indoor meet 🥲 Had no idea what to expect going into this race after being sick all week but pretty happy with the results and good SB. Also fun to run up the 4x4 with Preston, Justin, and Brady and close out the day. Hyped to go into outdoor 🔜
