SUB 5!!!!!!!!!! What a race! I got out kind of fast, and the whole race I felt I was barely holding on. There was never a moment when I was feeling good. Mark was ahead of me the whole race and Noah was behind me. But that’s racing, right? It’s not supposed to feel good. But boy, it felt good afterwards!! My kick was so awful. It went fine in terms of how fast I was going, but I think I pulled something in my left leg cause I can only limp right now (Edit: strained hamstring). But it’s the end of the season! It doesn’t matter! I can’t express how happy I am to have finally broken five. That was my goal all season. Very first meet in February; 5:49, and I knew sub-5 was my only goal. Shoutouts included: Rohin for an awesome first mile! First place and 5:24. Bart got sub-5 too!!! 4:54! Noah and Vic didn’t get sub-5 but still gave it their all and they should be proud of themselves. Getting ready for a great cross country season! I’m really going to miss all the seniors. From the bottom of my heart, you guys (and all of the other teammates) have really done so much for me. Devin, Antonio, Melkus, Kurm, Aden, Max, Cubbin, and anyone else I might have forgotten. You guys have meant the world to me during track season. And another huge thanks to all the coaches!!! Couldn’t have done this without Coach Lawrence backing me the whole way. We’re all done for the season! I will remember it fondly and will be sad to lose my 6 week trackster streak Photo feat. The record breaking sub-5 freshmen team!
