Just a super disappointing race. I got out hard, a lot of us in the JV race apparently had the same idea. The first mile was 5:29 which was just not sustainable for me. My second mile was 6:01 which shows that I paid for it, and shouldn’t have gotten out so fast. 3rd mile was also just as slow. Now in hindsight maybe this wasn’t the meet to take that chance. But I left it all out there and ran a PR, so at least something to be proud of. Also had an amazing kick and was able to pass Haris. All in all definitely a learning and very frustrating experience for me and a disappointing end to my season, will look forward to senior year XC though and of course NXR!
