Race day. Not the way I wanted to start off the season but not going to let it affect me. The little voices in my head telling me to give in most definitely won today but it’s good that I’m seeing this now as opposed to the end of the season like how it was last xc season. Grateful to have this opener meet with no stakes because now I know how it feels to be back racing and I am going to work on blocking these voices in my head over the next span of workouts before hornet red. I know how fit I am from the summer and know that I should not be that far back so not going to let that happen next time. Overall going to let this meet go and focus in the next week so that I’m ready to go come hornet red.
