Bike to OBPD. 2 mil warmup. 12 x 2 min thresh 1 rest. Workout was decent. First 4 were arnd 6:50, next 5 arnd 6:40, and last 3 under 6:00 flat. Rest jog was arnd 8:30. Def was tuff, and I didn't get nearly as close to my lactic point as I hoped. Biked home cooldown. Shoes felt splendid.

Needed to reset for a few days to nurse some pain in my legs, also very busy with finals but all the tough ones r outta the way 🙏. Hot 2 mile warmup wit my new adizero. they felt really nice but I did it way too fast because the shoes felt awesome. Then 8 x 3 min 1 min rest. Felt good the first couple but then started getting tough. Not great time wise, but good effort. Should have prepped better today not good hydration for the blazing weather and other things. Also first run being a workout no bueno. Cooldown. 1 mil from pe too.

Not a great way to end the season, but overall I'm content for how this season went. For the race, wasn't patient enough, had too many surges early. Prep was pretty bad too, I own it there was def stuff i should have improved. Didn't have that same drive as last week. Stomach problems, fitness felt worse, not a good day, but something to build off of. To conclude with my sophomore track season, I think I attacked it well. From coming off my hip injury in January, too training by myself during Ramadan, to having many good races, and many poor races too, I still think I preformed well and dropped lots of time and met my goals I had at start of the season. This team has come a long way, it's so great seeing everyone grow and I can't believe it's already half way over.

Sub cinco! Genuinely so amazed of what I accomplished. Biggest lesson: never count yourself out; there's always a way. Nothing has been in my favor the past days. Got sick Friday, Saturday night I couldn't sleep, my watch said I slept 3 hours, awake for 6! Yesterday I could barely finish single b because of stomach issues and cramps. ap precalc this morning - wasn't allowed water and didn't hydrate good. But all of it is noise. You got to act, which I did. Restructured my sleep, iron & vitamins, two banana everyday because monkey never cramp. I also didn't mind a couple bad days because I worked so hard all season and all year with nutrition, sleep, and staying on top of my body so i knew it would pay off. Other biggest thing; you got to picture yourself winning. I didn't have a single doubt I wasn't gonna break it. I visualized the feeling all day, and I fought, and it worked. For my race, felt calm going in. The pacer was pretty stern at the line. He said imma go 70-71 then 2:22. Hang on. Then the IHSA guy said follow the rabbit, and it helped me lock in. Went out in a 69, then 75,76,75. Felt so smooth, didn't want to gas out early and just kept floating. Waited for the lose yourself and just kept cooking and right at 200, I knew I had it and I pushed a lil longer and went through the line with my arms up. It goes back to the quote that circles in my head from my quote of the day abt walking on a line 20 stories high,"you’ll be so concerned about the idea of falling that it will make you fall… and that’s where the superpower is in removing the fear." If I feared not breaking it, who knows the outcome. Ultimately, I thought of my teammates. Seeing them run across the field to cheer and congratulate me is so genuine and non replicable. Great job to literally everyone as well, it's so awesome seeing everybody run great. To conclude, I dedicated this to those who can't run, or can't compete, because at the end of the day, we have to be grateful for each opportunity. Being able to drop 20 seconds off in 4 days and two meets is crazy. One more chance at part 2, let's knock some more time off boys! Creds to will hart for the Unedited video.

Good day. Yesterday during school, my one goal was to not get sick. Last night, as I'm in bed, I have that swallow where I realize something's up. Didn't think much of it. Was painful swallowing and my stomach felt terrible, was in the bathroom all morning. Also fell on the bleachers and scraped my leg, lost so much aura. Didn't let it get to me though. I didn't want to have another bad mile so I just fought, also wanted the spot in the under the lights sub5 heat. Other than that, no clear goal before the race, just wanted to compete and knock some time off, which I did. I had a rly good race, but prob should have stuck with like Sean and the top group cuz I was moving up a lot during the race & would have been better to just float for most of it. This gives a lot of confidence for under the lights where I know I'm gonna go sub 5, just gotta stay 💪.
