Great start, horrific middle, great closing… Was able to catch up on a lot of ground and almost retake the win (off by 0.1 seconds) which might haunt me for a little. Two major takeaways: I really, really need to allocate more to the middle of a race. At one point I ran a lap in 42, a full 5 seconds off from 10:00 pace which is not good at all. That is not excusable even with the ending. Very excited for future races I have a lot to work on but a strong foundation to back it I’ll take a medal but it should have been a 1st.
